There are years that ask questions and years that answer ~~~~Zora Neale Hurston
January 2009, wow it’s really here. Wonder how many times I’ll write the wrong year on a check or something else? I don’t write many checks……so who knows.
We woke early to take Caitie to her soccer game, sadly we lost…….ugh, 0-3……I felt bad for Cait.
We headed home, ate some lunch, and tackled the rest of the decorations. Yay they are all down. Kevin and Nick are in the garage now, putting it all away. We cleaned a bit as we went, so it’s a bit cleaner in here too. Yay.
I said I wasn’t going to make major resolutions, but I have a few goals for the new year.
1. Pray more, learn how to use my faith more when I’m not having a great day.
2. A few years ago my SIL suggested a bookto me that she was given, heck she may have given me mine. I know I’ve given it to a few people. So my goal this year is to complete this book and its tasks. The book is “Simple Abundance A Daybook of Comfort and Joy” by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It requires daily reading and it’s goal is to find your authentic self. I’ve tried many years to do it daily and somewhere around April or so I fail, and stop reading it. I also bought her daily journal of gratitude, and it has 5 lines for everyday………..she muses that some days it might be tempting to say, thankfully, the day is done. She lists 150 often overlooked blessings………..just in case you hit a dry day…ha ha.
3. My other goal is to be more healthy, not setting a weight loss goal, I know I need to lose some, but simply taking each day and thinking of how I can be more healthy, more active, less sedentary, and eat better…………that is my goal.
I wish for everyone reading the best 2009, may your dreams and wishes come true, may the hurts of the past be in the past, and I hope, I can share a bit of your happiness with you.
