A break from the rush

January 10, 2009 weekends 4

Today has been so nice, slept in a bit, cooked a big breakfast, played on my facebook………I’m just enjoying reuniting with some HS friends. I live 1000 miles away from where I loved for all of my K-12 education(and K wasn’t even in public schools in my day). I haven’t lived in the same house or suburb of St. Louis for 30 years, and I really just left it all behind, and I miss it a little at times.

Asking for good thoughts and prayers for a blogging friend of mine, her husband is in the hospital and while I don’t know much, I know there is a growth in his brain and it appears to be serious. Her name is Valerie and her husband is Darren, so if you pray, please include them.

I ran out to Target with Kevin we needed to pick up all kinds of “stuff” why does it seem I always spend $60 there and it’s like why?? Not really, we needed a GC for a party Nick is off to, a few new school supplies as the semester has changed, a few cleaners and personal items, it jsut never ends.

Having a rather peaceful day………….hope you are too!

Valerie and Darren have been on my mind all day! How scary it is and my prayers continue.

I know what you mean about spending so much money at the store. I only bought some totes and other helpful organizational items (along with groceries, etc.) yesteray, but my bill just sky-rockets if I buy anything even remotely optional!

I’ll keep a good thought for Valerie and Darren.

I cannot believe it’s already nearly 6pm. Where did this day go? Anyway, it was a nice day. Glad you’re having a good day, too.

I am glad to hear that you are having a peaceful day. I always seem to spend money on usless crap too. Seems I can’t ever leave my house without spending atleast 60-100 dollars no matter where I go. Ughhh. I will pray for your friends, I couldn’t imagine going thru something like that and may God give them the grace and the courage to keep thier heads held high. The power of prayer works miracles! Love reading your blog. Have a fantastic day.
