Nineteen years and counting

May 19, 2009 anniversary 15

Today is my anniversary. On May 19, 1990 at 7pm I married Kevin. Looking at this picture I see how young we were. Full of love, hope, promise and dreams. Thankfully nineteen years later I am still full of these things for us. We are still very much in love, our lives hold promise and we have fulfilled many dreams. I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams with this man, he is so good to me, and he is the best father I could imagine.
We had a beautiful wedding on a hot and muggy Florida night. The party after was filled with friends and family and lots of good food, wine and dancing.
I looked through my wedding album this morning, gosh I looked young! The dress is a dead giveaway to the time we wed…….big full, poofy! When looking at a close up picture of our hands, I notice how much my hand have aged………..a few wrinkles not as taut, it’s just one of those things you notice. I’m ok with aging, but I did like what I looked like at 30 too!

This is my mom and I just before I walked down that aisle. I love this picture, the smiles and love are genuine and she was so happy for me.

Kevin had today off, we were able to snuggle at home……………..ahem! We went out to lunch, did a little shopping and just enjoy being together, he’s napping a little now………..bless him he knew I was wanting to blog all day!

My wishes and prayers are for many many more anniversaries and dreams to be fulfilled!

Happy Anniversary! How lucky that Kevin was able to take today off and you could spend it together. And I must agree with Sheila – you only get better with age!

Happy Anniversary! What beautiful pictures. I love to look at old photos and reminiscence. It’s so wonderful that you and your husband recognize what a special relationship you have and cherish it. That’s something pretty special after 19 years.

Sorry that I missed your anniversary! I love the pictures and congratulations on 19 years! I pray that the Lord blesses you with many, many more years with your best friend.

I know what you mean about your hands. I look at mine from time to time and notice all the wrinkles, age spots, etc., but then I remember all that these hands have gotten to do in my lifetime and I am so thankful. Each of those wrinkles represent some wonderful memories in my life!

You were a beautiful bride! So glad you got to have some snuggle time with your sweetie! Happy Anniversary, Anita!
