Friday Five

It’s that time again!!
First off, I’m thankful it’s FRIDAY!!!! I was out nearly every night this week, if not me than Kevin running someone somewhere. Those of you who have young children and wonder why I can’t wait to have my girls drive……………trust me I’m nervous, but I look forward to not always being the chauffeur!

2. School is almost out. Three more days for the girls, a review day and two days of finals…………..ahhh, big projects winding down yay. I’m going to enjoy a couple of graduation parties this weekend too. It makes me smile and a bit envious when I think of a world that lies open and waiting for an 18 year old just graduating from high school………..ahhhhh, I could just drink it in!

3. Softball tournament this weekend, can’t wait to see Adrienne and her team play.

4. Rain and the end of the rain. My area of FL has been a drought, and since Monday my area has had over 8 inches of rain. North of me……….20 inches, can you imagine, in just 4 days! We aren’t dry now………….some parts are flooding, so I’m very happy that the sunshine is going to return soon. It’s sort of hazy/sunny out there now.

5. Once more, I am thankful for my husband, I’m so honored and blessed to have shared the last 19+ years with him. You may think I’m all gushy, but if you knew him, you would agree that he’s a great guy, and that I’m so lucky to have won his heart………he is way nicer than me….LOL!

Here’s to a wonderful weekend………..3 days to enjoy and be happy!

I’m with you on #1. Katie has been driving since February and it was only from sheer exhaustion that I had the courage to let her drive on her own. Trust me, you won’t look back. It is positively FREEING!

I hope you have a great, relaxing weekend. Having kids who can drive is very nice. Once you get over the first shock of it.

  3. My name is PJ.

Seriously – someone could be nicer than you?? Nuh-uh. Try again, kid! Yay for a great marriage though! They are so rare. People like you and I are blessed. OH – the kids driving part? Let me just tell you: you’ll stop chauffeuring and start worrying. It will never be relaxing again until they live on their own because you will always be waiting with your ‘mom ears’ in gear. And the beginning years are somewhat nervewracking. I will pray for you once it begins…. really. šŸ™‚

I am not sure Lauren will ever drive and I am not sure we will ever LET Hailey drive!

    Have a wonderful Weekend!

    Hi Anita!

It has been way too long since I have stopped by!

It sounds like you have been busy, but it was great to read about all of your blessings amidst the busyness of life! Can’t wait to hear how all the weekend activities unfold too!

I also liked reading about the “Things I Do For Me!” It is so important that we take care of ourselves in little ways and I had fun reading about your special treats!

Sending lots of love to you from Colorado,
    Denise šŸ™‚

I haven’t been on the blog since Friday early in the morning. Looks like everyone stole my comments. YOu know, I was looking at your family portrait over on the side, and I must say, you and your husband share a similar looking smile.

I have missed stopping by and visiting you! It sounds like you have certainly been very busy!

I have been following the weather and have been concerned about the amount of rain that has been dumped on FL in recent days. Praying for “The Sunshine State” to be back soon!

I have no doubt that your husband would HAVE to be a great guy to have ended up with such a special person as yourself!

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog today. I, too, have become more “selective” in the blogs that I read –choosing ones that make me a better person. Yours certainly falls into that category! I have missed staying in touch with you!

May the Lord bless you, sweet friend,
    Emilie
