The first 6 months were mostly me writing with one or three readers and most of what I wrote wasn’t earth shattering to them. I then found a few more blogs of interest and the real spreading of my wings was when I found SITS, what a wonderful support network it is. If you aren’t a part of The Secret is in the Sauce, I highly recommend it. It’s all about comment support and caring. I can credit Denise, whose blog is There’s always room for one more, with giving me the heads up about SITS. I follow Denise regularly, and I feel I owe so much to her, and I’m not even sure she knows how much I admire her.
So , I found more support and more blogs that shared my interests and passions. My blogroll is diverse and wonderful. I have blogging buddies who are bibliophiles like me, those that decorate and cook, those that remodel. I have Christian blogging friends who share their faith too. I read blogs that are humorous and sarcastic and real. Some are moms, and some aren’t, most are at different parenting places in life, a few close to me in experience and age.
I wasn’t profound or prolific. I didn’t post daily, I let life take me where I needed to be and when I could, I wrote and shared.
Blogging has brought me back to a passion I had as a young girl and woman, journaling and writing. Long ago I was a young woman with a dream to be a journalist and yes, like many young writers, I fancied myself writing the great American Novel. Life took me in a different direction and I let that dream go, but I also forgot how much I enjoyed writing, getting my thoughts out of my head and out on paper(or a computer screen). Some posts are light and fluffy, but I have days like that. Others are deep and personal and I even worry when I hit the publish button. What will people think of me? I try to be honest about who I am, and add a bit of humor into my frustrating moments.
Thank you to each of you. If you are reading this now, you have found my blog and if you are a follower you have hung around and seen some ups and downs and supported me. I hope I am also a supportive blogging friend and follower and that I encourage you to write and express!
So leave me some comment love on this special day, and remember, it’s friends like you that make this all so much more fun!
