I love most holidays that I celebrate. I love them for the traditions and the time we take to make food with loved ones, friends and family, and the time we take to share and spend together.
Our little family is miles and emotionally away from blood relatives, but we are always filled with love for each other and friends that are near and dear to us. I miss my family that is in TX and I know Kevin misses his parents that have passed away. He has mixed emotions about his brothers near and far, and how he deals with that, I leave to him.
So today, I am thankful for the weekend we just spent in Savannah GA. Adrienne was playing softball at a college showcase, and Caitie was touring a college. We had good food together, and good times. Savannah is one of my favorite places in the South, its is full of southern charm and history and sights to see. This trip was a bit damp and chilly, but still a good time. Here is a somewhat blurry photo of my 3 in front of Paula Deen’s famous “Lady and Sons” restaurant, it was divine!!!!
It’s a Monday, filled with chores and routine, but the week is short for school and work, and will be filled with oh so much more before the next 7 days roll round…………….enjoy it!!!
