Friday Five

February 19, 2010 friday five 11

I am so very happy that Friday is here.  This whole week I have been feeling unsettled, mixed up, not in sync.  Part I blame on the Monday holiday, and being out of town last weekend………the rest, I really have no idea at all.  Old age? An anxious mind?  I’m not sure.
While I’m tired and feeling out of sorts I do have so many blessings in my life, and I’m determined to share celebrate the good things!
So here are the best five things from this week
1. My dad is home again, home in his apartment with my mom and  he is feeling good.  Thank you for your good thoughts along this journey.
2. High School softball is going well……..Adrienne’s arm is feeling good and she is hitting, which makes her feel so very good.
3. Nick is in the middle of the annual science fair project. He is working so independently, and I am so thankful!
4. We received our tax refund………and I love having some cushion in our savings account!!
5. I successfully scheduled three college visits for Spring Break…………….I’m so excited, and nervous….but it’s good.
and one more thing.  Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent.  Lent is a time for prayer, reflection, fasting and preparing for Christ.  Whether you are a Christian or not, anytime we take time to slow down and reflect……it’s all good.

Wishing you all a happy weekend!!

goodness…what time did you get up or was this pre set??

sounds like a good list..when is your girls’ spring break? I made Lindsay and Laura set up appointments on their own… I went with…and was standing there…but they had to do it…was that mean?

I’m sorry your week has been out of sync. I know those can be rough ones but it looks like you are focusing on the right things!
I wish we got a tax return – self-employed. We never get anything back. I’m just always happy when we don’t have to pay in.

I love your Friday Fives Anita. So glad to hear that your Dad is home again and feel well. I can’t wait to hear how your college visits go! And I must agree, slowing down and taking time to reflect is a very good thing. I have definitely gotten away from that. Time to return to Thankful Thursday.

What a pretty blog! I do the same thing when I feel out of sorts and can’t figure out why. Usually its a few small things that didn’t go quite right, rather than one big thing. But I have to sit and take stock of what’s going right and it helps set me straight. Thanks for visiting my blog and Happy Sits Saturday 🙂

I love you Friday Five Anita and I can so relate to feeling “not in sinc”. It’s always good to remind ourselves what we do have to be thankful for and you have much!! Hope you are having a good weekend.

Anita – I love your Friday Fives! It all sounds pretty darn good!

The college trips…..the mixed Mom emotions are bouncing off the page. It will be okay…I promise!
