Thoughts That Fly Through My Head

Have you ever been in a place where you want to write, you want to take the time to put it all down, but things just keep getting in your way?
I feel that way this week.  My mind is just so busy and jumbled with things I “must” do that the things I want to do are left wanting.
I’m feeling so unhappy with the political mood in our country.  While I’m a fairly liberal Dem, I am not what one would call a bleeding heart, I’m rather conservative when in comes to money and spending.  While I’m not completely in the know on our new Healthcare legislation, I do know that the recent threats and violence towards the Dems that passed this bill are uncalled for.  How can this be right?  Why does Sarah Palin use words like “those that love America” as if  a supporter of this plan does not love America.  I understand it is a small majority or an equal amount of supporters in our nation. I thought Rush Limbaugh threatened to leave the US if the bill passed…………maybe he can buy his ticket now.     I just keep focusing on the division our nation felt when Civil rights legislation became law, this was hard fought, and sadly there was much violence.
I’m a firm believer in making your voice heard, so all those that want it your way, speak your mind intelligently, don’t bash and use threats.  Be heard with your votes.  The same goes for those of us that are Dems and want our legislators to stay in office, it won’t be an easy election, so don’t sit back and be happy with the way things are now.
Gosh I didn’t even mean to post on this…………but it just riles me up!!!

The divisive tendency with politics in these times is very disturbing. I agree. Unless we are running for office, it is mostly about various viewpoints different people have. We all see the world differently and are lucky to have that right.

the unrest is driving me crazy… I don’t understand…well I do..but I don’t know why it is bothering me..perhaps because the MEDIA wants it to be negative…

I am not a fan of the bill but I do think the threats and what not are wrong. I think some people need to grow up.

Yes, what happened after this bill passed reminds me of a grade school fight with a bunch of loud foul mouthed bullies. It’s sick. I like parts of the bill and don’t care for other parts. But something needed to be done. Someone finally had the balls to do something.

As for Sarah? She’s a real piece of work.

Oh, I totally understand the need to write and things getting in your way.

I can’t even comment on the health care issue since I’m horribly uninformed. I avoid most things political because I can’t stand contention. So, really, I have no right to have a political opinion.

    Take care my friend. 🙂

Amen! 🙂 Don’t worry, a lot of us have been riled up over this completely unnecessary, over-the-top violence. It’s just so wrong.

Sigh…sometimes all you can do is pray for these people.

I describe myself on my Facebook account as a ‘conservative independent’. I don’t lean totally left and I don’t lean totally right. I have a younger brother who is very much a liberal Democrat and the last time he visited me he asked why Conservatives – or Republicans in general, especially – hate the liberals so much. He said, “I’m not a bad person!” No…he isn’t! And even tho our political views don’t always gel, we were raised by the same parents and both have a lot of empathy towards humanity in general because of it. I like to stay well-informed but I must admit I am SICK of the media…both conservative and general…it’s like, ok, let’s grow up already and MOVE ON!! And let’s remember we’re PEOPLE first. OK? All right, already, people…sheeeeeeesh!

Ok….So I am going to keep my fingers quiet because I don’t have a lot of nice to say and I was taught not speak if you don’t have anything nice to say…I suppose that lesson is for typing too. I will simply repeat what I mentioned on another blog today.

We each have our own little place in this world and it is up to us to choose how we live in that place – reaching out, holding up others and living the best life we can is all we can do – even under the circumstances.
