Happy Easter

April 4, 2010 Uncategorized 4

Is there room for both the religious and the secular celebrations of Easter?  I think so.  While I’m a faith filled Christian, I believe mostly in private, it’s my way.  I attend my church, and happily praise with my family.   I’m not ashamed of it, but I don’t shout it from the roof tops.  I respect  others thoughts and beliefs, or disbelief.

Today I wish those that celebrate, a blessed Easter, good times with family and friends, as always good food…………and today, good chocolate!!

I agree with you Anita. I think there is room for both. I grew up in a Christian church and still believe but we don’t attend church. We have our Easter traditions as far as coloring eggs etc.. but I do kind of miss the other piece of it sometimes. Glad you had a nice one!

Anita, this was a good way to put this. I was trying to say something like that but it didn’t come out at all.

I think letting your belief shine speaks volumes! I don’t shout it but people know what I am about and I do talk freely about it!

Chocolate is always a good thing and I think we must take time to celebrate Cadbury Mini Eggs, Reese’s peanut butter eggs and of course Peeps which are not in the chocolate family.

However, I truly believe that people have lost sight about what Easter is all about. It is the foundation or our faith and should absolutely be honored however a person of faith chooses to do so. I freely talk about it because I know the way my life was before I was a Christian – only 9 years ago. I want others to know that. But sometimes that is shown in just the way I love others.

I think you show your faith in your sweet and giving spirit every day! You are a beautiful example of your faith.
