College Station

I am in College Station Texas with Adrienne and her softball team.  It’s ASA Nationals and we are here having fun and the girls working hard.

Here some of them are at opening ceremonies Sunday night.  We have 14 young women on the team, and they are playing their hearts out this week.
Monday they won 3-2 against a TX team.  Tuesday a win against a CA team.  Those were pool or seeding games leading to the start of elimination games….it’s double elimination,so if you lose two games, you go  home.  160 teams started, and after yesterday only 64 teams are still in the winners brackets.  We are one…whooohoo…of those teams.  We beat an Austin TX team 5-2 last night.  Tonight we face a very good team from Orange County CA, the Batbusters.  Games start at 8am and yesterday went until past midnight, last games started at midnight, can you imagine?  Florida sent 8 teams and one is out already and heading home soon I’m sure.
We’ve eaten out, seen movies, stayed cool, if we possibly can because it is very hot here in TX.  Thankfully movies are cheap, the mall is nice, but I’ve spent more money there….ugh.
Here is a picture my fav photographer took of Adrienne, can’t wait til later this year for her senior pictures!

My gorgeous girl!  Please think good thoughts for her and all her Sting teammates………..

First of all, I really like the new look of your blog. Secondly, I remember when I played softball. I was younger than your daughter and only played ’til I was about 9 or 10. After that I didn’t care much for it because I was more interested in dance. I don’t think my dad liked that too much, lol. I wouldn’t mind getting back into it, though. I’d enjoy joining a church league and playing again. I do miss it sometimes.
