A Reading Challenge

September 23, 2010 Uncategorized 10

While visiting my friend Beth’s Blog, I found this reading challenge she is participating in.  Want to learn how it started, visit Callapidder Days.
It’s fairly simple, you set your own goal, it runs from September 22-December 20……..the dates of autumn.
I’ve been saying my goals are to finish all the books(or a lot of them) not buy anymore and for a Christmas gift, a Nook or Kindle.  Naturally I had to read a book several friends had read and I did borrow it from the library.  So here is my list of what I want to finish and read in this challenge:

Complete:
The Red Thread by  Ann Hood
For You Mom, Finally , by Ruth Reichl
Come Back: A Mother and Daughter’s Journey Through Hell and Back
by Claire and Mia Fontaine

Non-Fiction:
Ten Minutes from Home by Beth Greenfield
Here if You Need Me by Kate Braestrup
Happens Every Day by Isabel Gillies

Fiction:
This is less sure………..I have a lot on the shelf, and I typically read a couple of Christmas theme novels in December.
Let’s say this area is TBD………but I do want to read 1 or 2 more books, I have 133 titles on my TBR list on Goodreads.

So join in and wish me luck!!

This is the perfect challenge for you. Hopefully it will get you to your goal of getting a Kindle or Nook! 133 books on your tbr list!? Wow, I thought I had a lot!

I thought I had a lot of “to be read” books, too!–but I think I only have about 10 on my list right now. But hey, there are always more coming up that make me say, “Oh, I have to read that!” šŸ™‚
