College Softball Begins

January 29, 2012 softball 6

Yesterday was the start of our daughter Adrienne’s first Spring Softball season with Seminole State College.  We are so very proud of her.  Adrienne is in the middle row, 3rd from the right.

It was the Preseason Classic yesterday, many Florida state and community colleges, a few from Georgia and farther north came together in Clearwater FL this weekend and played tons of great softball.  Adrienne’s school won 3 out of their 4 games, and only lost 2-1.  It was a good test of the teams.  While they all played fall ball, Spring is when they really compete and where teams move on to state and national competition.

Adrienne laid down this awesome sacrifice bunt to advance a runner….great job!

This is her official picture, isn’t it a great one!?
Yesterday was long, but good fun.  We are looking forward to seeing as many games as we can this year.

I think attending any of my kids’ sports events are completely thrilling. Isn’t that what moms are supposed to do? Scream and yell and embarrass their offspring? My kids have never played this sport, but I’m sure I would get into it if they did. Love her picture!

We love college softball and, when we moved here, we were really disappointed to find out Clemson doesn’t have a team. I hope your daughter’s team has a great season!
