April Reading Re-cap

May 3, 2012 Uncategorized 2

April was a so so month for me.  Unlike other book bloggers I aim for 1-2 books a week, or 6 a month.  This includes audio and reading.
I read:

Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen by Susan Gregg Gilmore  304 pages

These Girls by Sarah Pekannen  336 pages

Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake  by Anna Quindlen 208 pages

A Grown Up Kind of Pretty (audio) by Joshilyn Jackson

I had hoped to finish at least one more, the one I’m currently reading, The Book Lover by Maryanne McFadden, but 5 days of softball and traveling robbed me of major reading time.  Driving 16 hours in a car would have been heaven, but my driving buddies were less than thrilled with the listening idea :(. I believe Anna Quindlen’s book may end up being one of my favorites of 2012, it was that wonderful.  Review to come.

On to a better May.
What did you read in April and did you have any favorites?

My favorite of the month will probably be a favorite of the year: The Gods of Gotham. It was amazing, you should check it out! I need to check out that Quindlen book, it seems!

My favorite for April would probably be what I’m reading right now “Operation Mincemeat”.
