I’m not a morning person, but lately I’ve been back to my nocturnal reading and getting to bed around 4am. Yes I know this is insane, I then sleep til 10am or later and while I actually don’t mind myself the rest of the world and my family don’t seem too thrilled with it. I guess I need to work on this.
Busy weekend for us. Adrienne, one of our college daughters, came home. She is taking the rest of her “stuff” to Jacksonville. Girls are moving into a new apartment next weekend. She also wanted to go look for a desk. I was on a mission to buy things for my office nook wall. If you haven’t been following along, check out my pinterest link and instagram where you can see my progress and dream lists. I purchased seven items for the wall, and I’ve found some photo art on Etsy I want to buy. Still playing around with layout…but I think I’m going to love it!! So yesterday we went out to lunch, shopped several locations including IKEA. Adrienne found a desk and much more between the two of us! We went to Target and The Container Store and finally out to dinner! I think it was after 9:00 when we got home..Kevin, Adrienne and I..we were exhausted!
Nick was away all weekend, staying with a friend in Orlando and wrestling. Two of his best buds are heading to a National Tournament in Fargo ND this week, so lots of practice. Honestly this has been the summer of where is Nick? I think I also remember being a very socially active 16 year old….I think he’s living the good life.
Exciting week coming up. Two author events at Vero Beach Book Center, Wednesday night Chris Bohjalian will be speaking and Thursday night is Laura Lane McNeal, sharing about her book Dollbaby. I’m finishing it today….loving it!! I’m going to be having my own little get away staying in Vero Beach one night.
Everything else is going very well, hoping to finish up one book today, so many more fabulous July publishing books to read.
Have a wonderful day and week!!
Oh and I’m sharing my review of Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands on The Steadfast Reader. Check it out for other great book posts!
