It’s Monday November 10! What Are You Reading?

November 9, 2014 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 10

I finished two books in print and one in audio last week.  I’d been on a great positive run in book choices.  Girls of Kabul Letters from Skye Leaving Time

I’m planning reviews this week.

I then picked up three separate book and read a bit felt that it just wasn’t the right time for them.  One was just wrong and the others are books I want to read, but not right now.  I’m listening to two books on audio right now and have just started one book…as in I’m not even 10 pages in, and yet I’m posting here and hoping it will hold my attention.

Lena Dunham Accused How to Be a Good Wife

I’ve heard all the hoopla over Lena Dunham’s book, and I’m mostly curious about her.  She is 28 and very smart and talented as a writer and performer.  So far, I’m not offended.

As always I’ve got lots of lovely books to read…here are just a few I hope to read this month.

The Fragile World The Look of Love 9780451466716_WhatTheLady_Cover BetrayedThe Life We Bury The Silent Sister

I’ve read less than 100 pages since I finished Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, the sign of a book that stays with me, but also difficult to follow up.

I wish you a happy reading week…..and what ARE you reading?

I keep hearing great things about Leaving Time…I love Picoult, but haven’t read her in awhile and the premise of this one didn’t really grab me. But, after seeing how much people love it, I might give it a shot.

I always get sucked into Jodi Piccoult but her books do seem to have a formula. Still she is very entertaining and always picks controversial topics. I’ve read a couple of Lisa Scottoline books and they haven’t done much for me. You’ve got some others there that I’ve got my eyeball on. I’m now racing to finish the graphic novel Watchmen, so I can start the Stephen King “Revival” read-a-long tomorrow!

I’m curious what you’ll think of Lena Dunham. I’m planning to pick it up sometime this month, too. I’m not a huge fan of everything she does, but I loved what I heard from her on Fresh Air, so I’m interested in the book.

I just finished and reviewed What The Lady Wants. Excellent historical fiction about Chicago. I really enjoyed it. I hope you like it.

I also have Betrayed, The Fragile World, and How To Be A Good Wife. All of these are unread. They all look good.

Letters from Skye was a disappointment to me even though I thought I was going to LOVE it since I love The Isle of Skye in Scotland.

The Life We Bury looks good.

ENJOY all of these books and have a wonderful reading week.
