November 24, 2014 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 9

On Monday I like to participate in these wonderful meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  It’s a place to share what you’ve read, are reading, plan to read and more. Share and visit other blogs!

Last week I finished two audio books and one in print.

  • Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham
  • Accused by Lisa Scottoline
  • What the Lady Wants by Renee Rosen

Look for reviews coming up soon, but let me assure you if you enjoy historical fiction, you’ll want to pick up Renee Rosen’s book.  It’s all about Chicago beginning in the 1860’s, the great fire, the rebuilding of the city, and about the man Marshall Field was, and his retail empire.  Also about the women in his life.  Outstanding!

I’m currently listening to a riveting book that others had told me about this year.   Everything I Never Told You  by Celeste Ng is amazing…so very good.

I’m reading two books…yep, crazy!

The Look of LoveBetrayed

Both these books publish tomorrow!!  I’m also very excited that Lisa Scottoline will be at my favorite Indie book store, Vero Beach Book Center, next Monday December 1.  It will be crowded and oh so fun!

I’m excited to start this book next

The Silent Sister

Please let me know what you’re reading, or if you’ve read any of the books I’ve shared.  Have a wonderful week!!-

I really enjoyed The Silent Sister – there are secrets aplenty!!! Be prepared for a what of Whats? and OMGs!!! I’m currently reading The Love of Love – it’s my first Sarah Jio book and I’m really enjoying it. I have 2 others of hers on my shelf but just haven’t gotten a chance to read them.

Hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog!

I loved What the Lady Wants — so much fun, and such interesting Chicago history. And What I Never Told You was amazing — one of my favorites this year. Our book group just discussed it and we all agreed it was one of our best discussions ever.

Loved Everything I Never Told You, and looking forward to the Jio and Scottoline releases tomorrow. I’m envious that you will get to meet Lisa. She is going to be in NJ (where my family will be visiting for Thanksgiving), but it’s about an hour and a half away, so I don’t think they will be too thrilled that I want to go to (yet another) book event. I’ll have to catch her another time!

I *just* finished The Silent Sister last night. Entertaining, don’t you think?

I am definitely checking out your review of the Lena Dunham book. I hope you address a certain controversial section… 😉

I’ve been reading Circle of Reign by Jacob Cooper and so far it’s absolutely outstanding. If you enjoy the epic fantasy genre, this book is an absolute must-read. Really original and fascinating story with wonderfully written characters and truly intense battle scenes. I can’t put it down. http://www.circleofreign.com
