Join in this weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  It’s a time to talk about what you’re reading, have read or plan to read.  Visit other blogs and probably add to your reading list!

I have been mostly absent this month, from blogging and to some degree from reading, it’s just been busy!!

Last week I finished Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell.  I read this for my book club and loved it.  The discussion was wonderful, all six of us at the meeting read it and enjoyed talking about it.

I’m currently reading The Voices by F.R. Tallis The Voices it’s a good creepy read, but I’m finding it difficult to find time to read right now.  Family home, holiday things to do, all the normal events too.

I’m listening to an older Lisa Unger book, Fragile.  It’s very good!!  Her new book Crazy Love You publishes in February!!

Fragile

Next up is a January book, Descent by Tim Johnston.  I’ve read a few pages and it’s very good.

Descent

Wishing you good reading and a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, or a joyous Festivus or any Winter holiday you may celebrate!

What are you reading? Have you read any of the books I’ve shared?  What did you think?

I’ve been hearing so many great things about The Descent! Hope it ends up being a great read for you – it sounds like it would be a good one to fall into during the busy holiday time.

I’m not sure if you watch The Affair on Showtime, but it centers around an author who has an affair and then uses it as material for his second novel…called Descent! I can’t think about anything else when I see this book!

I’ve only just started watching The Affair on demand. 2 episodes in. Now I’m even more intrigued.

I adored Eleanor and Park. I would have recommended it for my book club, but I decided to recommend something I hadn’t already read. Oh well….maybe next year!
