It’s Monday December 29! What Are You Reading?

December 29, 2014 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 4

Each Monday this meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey and it’s a place to share what you’re reading, have read and plan to read.  It’s a great place to share and learn about new books.

The holidays are not a great time for me to read. Last week all my family was home for most of the week.  While they are accustomed to my reading and sneaking away or just sitting in my comfy chair with a book open, I find it difficult to not enjoy the kids when they are home.  My girls are now 21 and we see them less and less as college graduation looms near in 2015.  So my reading time has been very little but the pure joy of spending time with my family can’t be replaced.

I finished NOTHING last week.  I’m almost done listening to Fragile by Lisa Unger, just an hour left…and I’m hanging on waiting for the final revelation!  It’s a great thriller.

I’m still reading The Voices and Descent, but also started this book Saturday.

The Life IntendedThis book by Kristin Harmel publishes tomorrow and it’s so very good.  I’ll finish it today.  Trust me, just pick it up.

I plan to then finish the other two I’m reading and carry on with January books.  There are so many great books coming up!  My friend Judy Mollen Walters has a new book coming in February, The Place to Say Goodbye.  Please take a look at her site and consider reading the book.  I’ve read the first few pages and it’s so emotionally heart wrenching, but very good.  Can’t wait to finish.

In audio I’m not sure what I’ll listen to next.  I’ve got nice choices, and it’s also a great way for me to get to those books I don’t have time to read.

Happy reading to you all!!

I’ve been seeing Descent everywhere lately. And – every time I see it I think of the fictional novel of the same name in the Showtime show, The Affair. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts.
