It’s Monday January 19! What Are You Reading?

January 19, 2015 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 12

This weekly meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It’s a place to share what you’re reading, have read, plan to read and any other books things you’d like to talk about.

Last week I finished two books, one in print and one in audio

Before I Go by Colleen Oakley

All You Could Ask For by Mike Greenberg(audio)

I really enjoyed both these books, look for reviews coming up.

I’m currently reading:

The Same Sky

This book is really well written, dual story lines.  One a woman living in Austin TX with her husband.  The other a young girl living Honduras alone with her little brother. Her mother is living illegally in TX and working, sending money as she can.  Carla decides she must find a way to get away from the life that is headed no where and to find her mother.

I started an audio book, but I don’t think it’s really working for me, we’ll see.

Unsure of what’s up next….here are some possibilities.

The Magician's LieA Fifty-Year SilenceCane and AbeMy Father's WivesThe Devil You Know

All books I’d like to read in the next couple of weeks!!

Last week I attended a book event at Vero Beach Book Center with Deborah Johnson, author of one of my 2014 favorite books, The Secret of Magic.  Her book is available in paperback now.  I picked up a copy, so keep your eyes open for a giveaway.

My book club meets this week, and we’re discussing Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.  Looking forward to the discussion, I love the book so very much.

Happy reading, I hope you’ll share what books are on your nightstand.

The Same Sky sounds interesting, I love dual narrative stories.
Also, I’ve heard great things about The Magician’s Lie! Hoping to get to that one soon.

I have that book on my shelf and I really want to read, several good reviews. I think I have too many book choices.

I hope everyone liked Me Before You, I always feel responsible when I choose. I cried like a baby at the end. Jojo Moyes rocks. You always read the newest books, and I’m just dragging around not able to get through anything. I’m listening to Ordinary Grace right now, and reading (ha) Where All the Light Tends To Go.

I’m reading so many new because I say yes to too many pitches! I am having a great start to the year though.
