Good Afternoon!! I hope this day finds you relaxing, enjoying friends or family, maybe slipping in a little reading time. Seems no matter what’s going on in my life I always hope Sunday will be peaceful, it’s not always been a given. Years of being a softball/soccer mom and traveling etc makes me really appreciate this more relaxed phase of life.
It’s been a good week here in my little corner of Florida. I went to the Orthopedist this week and good news, my bone is mending! No more brace, and starting physical therapy this week. He believes I’ll be able to have my knee replacement surgery in June!! I’m ready to be able bodied again.
On Wednesday we visited UNF and attended the College of Engineering Senior Symposium. They presented their senior projects and it was very exciting so see our daughter Caitlyn and her team share their design. She was team leader and their design was for an enhancement to the current elephant exhibit at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Amazingly talented and bright young people were everywhere, it was so informative, even if I did feel very old..ha ha. Very proud parent moments! Graduation is in less than three weeks.
Yesterday was my husband’s company picnic, we had a nice time, there was BBQ, and music and a photo booth and so much for little ones, face painting, petting zoo, balloon art…..I think it was entertaining for all.
We booked our vacation for the summer. We are rending a house in Rosemary Beach FL, near Panama City. I visited last year with my friend Jennifer and fell in love. We found a house with room for the whole family. Hoping the girls will be able to join us for part of the week. Nick will be bringing a friend. I’ll be so happy when July arrives!
On the reading front I’ve been very lucky this year with some excellent books. I’ve been very negligent in writing reviews. I’m giving myself a break an working on some combination mini reviews. I want to do the books some justice, as the books are outstanding!
Looking forward to a week of physical therapy, reading, and attending the end of the year high school wrestling banquet too. I hope the week brings you good times too.
