It’s Monday January 2, 2017! What are you reading?

January 2, 2017 Beatriz Williams, Chris Bohjalian, Christmas, Doubleday, It's Monday! What Are You Reading?, Kimberly S. Belle, Mira, William Morrow 13

This is a weekly event hosted by Kathryn at Book Date . A wonderful place where we share what we’ve read, what we are reading and plan to read.  Check it out, I guarantee you’ll be adding books to your list!

Happy New Year to you all!!  I can’t believe 2017 is here….the years seem to be flying by as my kids are grown and our lives keep changing.  I’m excited to begin this year on the right foot.  I don’t have resolutions, but I do set goals and blogging  more is at the top of my list!!

What I finished reading this past week:

What a wonderful way to end 2016.  I’ve been a fan of Kimberly Belle’s since her first book, The Last Breath.  This story is about how we all think we know our spouse, and how one woman finds out she knows very little about her husband.  The startling truths don’t stop coming in this book.

Reading now:

This book by Mindy Mejia publishes today, and I’m over half finished and I think I can say, get a copy!  We learn about how one teen girl works so hard at being what everyone expects of her.  She practically lost any idea of who she is.  I hope to finish soon.

Currently listening to:

I picked this up on audible, along with the previous book, Winter Street, for some light holiday listening.  I have the last book in ebook but I’ll likely save it for next Christmas.  Enjoyable and and easy listen thus far.

What’s coming up next:

Two very different books, but by two favorite authors.  I’ll also be attending author events with both this month.

It feels very good to be posting again, and I hope you’ll share your reading choices with me.  Any thoughts on what I’ve read or recommendations I’d love to hear them!

Sounds like some great picks there Anita! Next week, when I’m better organised, I’ll join in with this weekly event! I’m still in that state where I’m having to think about what day of the week it is! Happy New Year, by the way!

I’ve been enjoying Hilderbrand’s Winter books over the holidays, too… all three as ebooks though. Perfect light reading for the season! Will look forward to your thoughts on Beatriz Willams’ new book and the author event. Happy New Year, Anita!

Thanks! I’ve met Beatriz several times, she visits an indie in Vero Beach once a year, and has also begun adding one in Winter Park. She is very nice :).

I recently finished The Sleepwalker. Sadly, it wasn’t my favorite Bohjalian book, though I know most others have loved it. I’m definitely curious about The Wicked City, so looking forward to what you think about it. Happy New Year!

I’m holding out hopes with the Bohjalian, he’s one of my favorite authors. I’ll be posting my review of The Wicked City, most likely the week it publishes.

I loved The Sleepwalker…and I downloaded The Marriage Lie yesterday (I had banned my book buying in the second half of December, so I went nuts yesterday…LOL).

I’ve been planning to read Winter Stroll since I first finished Winter Street. Enjoy your books, and thanks for sharing…here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
