Happy Monday y’all! I’m joining Kathryn of Book Date and many other bloggers sharing what we’ve been reading and what’s on our shelves to read. Please visit, I’m sure you’ll find new books to read.
Books I’ve finished:
You can read my review of The Sleepwalker here. I absolutely loved Every Last One, but it did rip my heart out too. I listened to the audio and it was so well done.
I’m enjoying both of these, for completely different reasons. Historical fiction set in the 1920’s and in the days of prohibition is such fun. The stark reality of the lives of those from Appalachia, even those that believed they had escaped it’s grasp, is eye opening. I’m so touched by the intimacy that J.D. Vance shares, I can already say grab this one…it’s so good!
Commonwealth was for book club, and I didn’t go to the meeting. I am enjoying the audio, it’s a study of two families, how they are changed by a chance meeting of two adults, married to others. The children grow up with summers together, joining forces. It’s very good.
What’s up next:
I’m looking forward to all these, and honestly February and March are filled with new releases I’ve been waiting for. I plan to also add in some of my older books, either those I’ve purchased or others sent to me.
I hope you’re having a wonderful month of reading. I’d love to know if you’ve read any of the books I’m enjoying, and please share what you’re reading.
