It’s Monday May 22! What Are You Reading?

May 22, 2017 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 10

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Happy Monday!  I finished one book last week, and I’ve been floundering on what to read next…ugh

Finished:

I hope to get my review up this week, I really enjoyed this book.  It was told in two time lines and at times I really enjoyed the current one much more.  It was faster paced, but it’s important to know the back story on the three main characters, three best friends since college.  It was a book I didn’t want to put down.

Currently Listening:

I’m only two hours into this audio, and now I’m determined to finish, because I bought it and because I want to develop a complete opinion.  I can say I’m not in love, but stubborn…ha ha.

Currently Reading:

Now this is really all a lie, because I’ve read a chapter in each of these books and I’m not really grabbed.  One has had great reviews, the other I’ve seen almost no one discussing.  One more day, and then I’m moving on…life is too short.

What’s up next:

You come look at my shelves and iPad and help me…ha ha, no seriously there are books from earlier this year I want to read and between now and June 6th the publishing world is killing it! Just a few options.

This week is also book club meeting where we will be discussing Get Well Soon: History’s Worst Plagues and the Heroes Who Fought Them.  I listened to the audio, and will get the review up soon, I can’t wait to discuss and I highly recommend this book.

Happy Reading!

Can’t wait to hear more about It’s Always the Husband! Looks like you’ve got a lot of great books ahead… good idea to move on if one of your current choices doesn’t grab you soon.

Haha – I’ve been hearing similar things about Into the Water. I have it on hold at the library…but am not super excited to actually read it. I’ll at least give it a shot and just bail if I’m not enjoying it.

I also DNF’d Gypsy Moth Summer last week…excellent opening but then I quickly got bored 🙁

I always feel like an oddball when I struggle to get into a book that has rave reviews – I’m currently debating marking Strange the Dreamer as DNF, but we’ll see.

Your book club book sounds fascinating! I’m going to have to check that one out. Such a sucker for deadly diseases 🙂

All of your books are new to me. I hope you enjoy them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

After an audiobook slump, I’m listening to Chopping Spree (a re-read but last time I read it in print). Thanks for stopping by earlier.

I finished Into the Water, and I just don’t know… And I have It’s Always the Husband slated to read shortly. Excited to hear your thoughts on The Trophy Child.
