It’s Monday June 5! What Are You Reading?

June 5, 2017 Uncategorized 10

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Hello All!  I finished one book last week, and I’m slugging along with my audio book.

Finished:

You can find the review here. I really liked this book, classic suspense from Heather Gudenkauf.

Currently Reading:

Oh y’all, I’m about 25% into this book, and it is beautifully told.  The story is just beginning in many ways, but I’m loving this book.  Pub date is tomorrow June 6, 2017.  Pick it up.

Currently listening:

I finally have all my characters straight, and I’ve got tons of unanswered questions.  I’m down to the last 2.5 hours and maybe I can finish between cooking and cleaning some today.  I have so many mixed feelings about this book.

What’s up next:

Probably this new book by Julia Fierro, she writes with such grace and depth.  My review will be published June 20, as part of a TLC Book Tour.

Happy to hear you liked Not a Sound as I did. I have the Lisa Wingate book on my radar, have seen a few good reviews for it. I have never read the author so would be a good idea to try her.

I feel like Paula Hawkins had a tough job in following up Girl on the Train. Hope you enjoy the last few hours of Into the Water (and figure out what is going on)!

I keep hearing a lot about the Hawkins book having too many characters. I was really looking forward to this, but it seems like it’s getting a lukewarm reception. =(

I’ve been hearing such mixed things about Into the Water…actually more negative than mixed. I read like 10 pages and then sent it back to the library.

I finished the audio this morning, and i’d give it a 3 star rating, the last 40% was good, and leaves you with a sense of so many unreliable narrators which can be fun, but began as such a mess.
