It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? July 17

July 17, 2017 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 3

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

It’s been a busy week for me.  My son had an oral surgeon consult and he’s having his wisdom teeth removed tomorrow.  I’ll be playing nursemaid/mom.  We took some furniture up to one of our daughters who is moving to her first post college apartment with her girlfriend.  Love that she is so independent now.  She’s been paying her own share of rent the past year, but now we are no longer on the lease and we are so proud of her.  Yesterday I attended a wonderful book event with Beatriz Williams at the Cocoa Beach Public Library.  There were nearly 100 people there to see her, and they sold out of the books one store brought to sell!!

Recently Finished:

Kind of a slow start for me but the last half of the book was really intriguing.  Full review up soon.

Currently Reading:

This book published August 1st, and I downloaded as part of Kindle First, free because I’m an Amazon Prime member.  I loved Julie Lawson Timmer’s first two books, Five Days Left, and Untethered.  This one is very different, a lighter, often humorous look at a woman’s divorce and move to a new home, with quite the character for a neighbor.  Put this one on your list!

Still listening to Cutting for Stone, it’s very long, and I haven’t had as much audio time as of late.

What’s Up Next:

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with recently published books, so I’m trying to not accept much for the near future.  Love to read, but hate to feel like I’m missing good books in a race to read what is the newest release!!

I hope you’re having a wonderful summer of reading, please share what’s been good for you!

The Beatriz Williams event sounds really fun. I love having a small library, but the downside is not having too many “meet the author” programs!

    Have a great week!

To see Beatriz Williams in Cocoa Beach is the ultimate!

Good luck to your son – recovery was very smooth for Vance and I hope it is for him too.

I hate that overwhelmed feeling when there are so many good books you can’t get to them all. the new ones just keep on coming!
